Blood in uterus ?

Going by last menstrual I should be 6 weeks 2 days I went and got ultrasound they said I’m very early they couldn’t see very good that I look to be 4-5 weeks and that they also see blood inside my uterus. Did I ovulate late ? Or how could that happened ?

Blood in your uterus could mean one of three things. Either you have a subchorionic hematoma, miscarriage, or possibly ectopic. Did they see a gestational sac? Usually around 5 weeks they can see a small gestational sac. If they saw a gestational sac then most likely it’s a subchorionic hematoma which usually resolves after a few weeks. It’s caused by the egg implanting in the uterus and disrupting blood vessels. 
Measuring a week or so behind is normal. I’m 14 weeks with baby #4 and I ovulated a few days later (confirmed with temping). So my first ultrasound at 6w6d baby measured 6w1d. Sonographer said within a week is perfect. Now baby is measuring ahead haha. So they grow fast! Don’t worry! I’m sure it’ll all be okay! Don’t be alarmed if you spot just because the blood will either exit from you or will be absorbed. Sorry this is so long! I know I write a lot!
