37 weeks exactly, and finally just about done! Water broke as I was trying to pass gas in bed this morning, we were admitted an hour later. It’s been 12 hours since and they’re thinking maybe another 12, but the end is in sight! I wasn’t progressing quickly enough on my own so I’ve been on pitocin for the last 9, and things are moving along great even though the back labor is awful. I was only 1 cm dilated and 60% effaced when my water broke, I’m now 2 cm and 80% effaced and the doctor is pleased. I unfortunately won’t get my normal OB, since it’s her weekend off, but the nurses have been phenomenal so I’m not too worried.
