We have the tv on all day, sometimes it’s on a kids that programme because my 2 year old likes a bit of screen time, but he has zero interest! He dances to the music but that’s it. Was the same with my daughter until she was about 18 months. It might be against the grain, but I think having the tv on all the time actually desensitises them from wanting screen time!

None. We listen to music and will FaceTime with family but the tv is off when Henry is awake. My biggest pet peeve is how screen addicted kids (and most adults) are nowadays. I want to avoid it for as long as possible. I am not a big fan of tv and prefer books to TV anyway so I don’t feel like we are missing out on anything.

No but we also don’t do screen time for our nearly three year old either. It’s not for us.

We don’t have a rule. But we show her a video here and there. FaceTime with grandma. And if we have the tv on for something important (guilty verdict last week for example), she might look at it. We mostly watch tv after she goes to bed. On the weekends we might have sports on but don’t sit her in front of the tv.

I think I’d go insane with the silence if there wasn’t a TV on. We listen to music sometimes but I get sick of the same songs over and over again. My TV is on at all times. Either it’s Cocomelon, one of my TV shows, Animal Crossing, my husbands video games, anything really. We don’t plan on censoring anything (besides sexual content) when it comes to the TV so it’s pretty easy to just turn it on and let whatever plays play.
