Does your toddler wave or say hi back to strangers?

My toddler went on a few adventures this weekend for the 1st time since the pandemic and we noticed that she will only say hi or wave back to strangers once we tell her to "say hi". We are guessing that this is normal behavior especially since she has not been anywhere but the backyard and grandparents house. She doesn't go to day care and has no siblings, younger cousins or friends yet. What about your Littles? How are they in public among people.
