How much milk should I be pumping ?

Im 2 weeks postpartum. I'm pumping 8 times a day and get 26 oz total. I'm not able to save anything cause baby is drinking all of it. Is this a normal amount for 2 weeks? I've try to pump at least one more time to save some but I can't with a newborn and my toddler!

If you are exclusively pumping that seems about right for 2 weeks. My daughter always drank around 24 oz per day, occasionally up to 30 oz, up to her first birthday. If you want to continue to up your supply pump for a few minutes after you see the milk stop flowing to tell your body to make more. The general recommendation to pump for 15-20 minutes doesn’t always work for exclusive pumper and you may need to pump longer to fully empty your breast. And make sure you are pumping at least once overnight especially until your supply is fully established around 6 weeks. I always had my highest output around 3-4 am, it’s a pain to wake up to pump but definitely worth it for your supply.
