Smoking Weed While Breastfeeding?

Question

I'm currently breastfeeding my son, it's been 10 months since I've smoked weed (this is pregnancy 9 & after birth) I'd like to start smoking again because it helps relieve my anxiety and depression. Has anyone smoked while breastfeeding? Did it affect the baby? How did you and the baby respond? Any reason to not smoke? Just looking for advice. Articles from research would be nice.

I’ve smoked through out my entire time breast feeding. And my daughter it’s very smart and actually ahead in her mobility and learning skills. Do what feels right to you.

I feel like it's your decision. Trust yourself as a mom and what makes YOU feel good. I would recommend smoking what you need and nothing more. What makes you feel good will make your baby feel good too. Everyone will have their own opinions on the subject but there is ultimately no right or wrong answers. There isn't enough scientific evidence and honestly I would rather smoke than take opiates. I had a rough C-section and have been in terrible pain and been having a difficult time recovering as well and I've seen no negative effects to my son. He eats VERY well, all too well in my opinion and he is 6 weeks old, lifting his head and rolling over, laughing and enjoying life. You need to do what's best for YOU. Listen to your body and keep an eye out for your Itty bitty one and everything will fall into place. Your baby will let you know if its negatively effecting them. ☺🖤👶🏼

No! It will be just like your baby eating an edible. 
My childhood best friend smoked sometimes while breastfeeding her daughter for a year and her little girl was the size of a 9 month old at a year old, didn’t walk till 20 months and delayed in speaking. As a small infant the baby slept WAY to much.
She didn’t smoke with her first born and her first born was a chubby happy little baby! 
It’d be better to just give your baby formula!

He nurse in the hospital took my baby away dr tried to say I couldn't breastfeed till I was completely sober for 1month it was entirely their opinion but lactation specialists had mixed opinions a few told me since he got THC in the placenta it wouldn't cause any issues and most said it's up to me to make an informed decision I don't really smoke anymore I haven't for 2 days and I only smoke like 2-3 puffs here and there when I do because getting "high" makes my heart race and me feel all light headed and nauseous but it could also be because I had blood pressure issues during labor I plan to cut back alot like only every couple of days and the lactation specialist said pumping and dumping doesn't do much because of how our bodies store THC 🤷🏻‍♀️ I still wait 3 hours plus after smoking before breastfeeding just like when I smoked cigarettes which I quit but the one lactation specialist also said the benifits of breastfeed greatly out weight the risk of occasional weed smoking
