How do you prefer your labor and birth experience ?

Hey ladies before my June 2020 baby me having my babies was almost like a big event ! The grandparents would meet me at the hospital and by the time I was pushing my aunts and cousins would be there my in law would be there and I only have 3 kids this happened with my first two my 3rd baby which is my June 2020 baby the pandemic wouldn’t allow my family or my husbands family in which is understandable! And my 3rd birthing experience was my absolute favorite experience EVER. I got a chance to bond and be in the moment with my contractions and pain and having my little one we got to experience him coming out and it’s just us with that amazing experience ❤️I’m so grateful to have had the one experience and if I could go back I would have always had it like that ! I love when it’s just me and my husband rather then an entire hang out ❤️ with my 4th definitely no visitors allowed ! Also I was dealing with contractions with my first 2nd LO and the my mother in law told me “stop moving don’t cry blah blah and I felt my experience was completely controlled ! what birth experience did  you have ? What do you prefer ? And what’s your favorite moment mine is leading up to babies birth and the after snuggles 😊 the moment I dislike “PEEING AFTER BIRTH LOL

My hospital is allowing two support adults for birth again and visitors (I give birth again in July) and I’ve told everyone nothing has changed because I don’t want anyone but my husband in the room and I don’t want any visitors 😅

I only have one baby but I was super happy that my family and husbands family couldn’t come visit us in the hospital. I was in labor for 25 hours with 5 1/2 hours of pushing. I had a 2nd degree tear and a labial tear so I was incredibly swollen, uncomfortable and my hemoglobin was dangerously low. I was in no mood to see anyone hahah. Plus being alone with my husband and our daughter for almost 3 days was so special! I really enjoyed being topless the whole time. We had so much skin to skin, I think that’s why she’s a contact napper 😆
IF (a very big if) we have another we will do it the exact same way even if we can have visitors.

I only have one but I hated that my family couldn’t be at the hospital in the waiting room. That no one got to meet her at all. I did not want family in the delivery room other then my husband though. Emergency csection they took baby away right away and my husband went with. I wish my mom would have been there with me forever the csection.

I definitely preferred my son’s birth over my daughter’s.  The only good thing about COVID was the no visitor policy because I told my husband I didn’t want visitors & he was not on board with that, but he ended up not having a choice.  I get overwhelmed easily & it was so much better with just my husband & I.  With my daughter, my mil came & stayed for hours even when I told my husband that I wanted her to leave.  I was up for like 2 days prior to having her & I was exhausted!  I got scolded & had a blanket thrown in my direction when I tried breastfeeding before my 12 y.o. nephew left the room (as if he could see 🙄).  It was just a much more stressful experience.  When I have my third, I def don’t want visitors again & I plan on asking my best friend to be there for the birth so she can experience it since she may not be able to have them.  
My favorite moments are the anticipation once you’re admitted, when they place baby on your chest once they are born, & all the snuggles/skin to skin.  Also watching my husband do skin to skin.  My dislike was the general feeling of weakness afterwards.  And not having an appetite.  I hope more people respond to this because I love hearing about other birth stories/perspectives.

My first birth I *wanted* my mom to wait in the waiting room but found out afterwards that she was literally sitting outside my door(even after the nurses asked her to move to a waiting room). She has apparently told people noises I apparently made while pushing(which my husband and I both don't know what she was talking about as I was very quiet) and she also told my only sister the baby was born, which i wanted to do...  Thankfully I didn't cave to her manipulation about being in the delivery room 😳 after my daughter was born we had our siblings and parents come visit. (My mom didn't leave for any of these visits, even my in laws meeting their first grandchild 🙄 and even came back when my sister came to meet my daughter) It was exhausting having so many visitors and I had a quick easy birth. While I loved showing off my baby, I got no rest between visits and nurse checks. 
With my June baby, my son, I was relieved to not have to make an excuse for my mom to wait at home. I also made sure to tell her when she dropped my daughter off that I needed it to be a family moment for the 4 of us and she could meet our son another day. It was nice being able to have that time to ourselves in the hospital and get to know our little guy. It was also nice getting to have visits when I felt ready vs when peoe showed up. My next baby I will definitely not be inviting anyone to visit at the hospital. 
My favourite part of birth is when they out the baby onto your stomach, and you get those first looks and cuddles. I also got to pull my son out which was empowering! I also love finding out their weight as my babies are big 😂 
My least favourite is the weakness and lightheadedness after birth, and having to walk for the first time after

So I’m a social person by nature but I did love that it was so empty at the hospital when I gave birth. I mean my family is far away so even then no one would have been there to come visit. Maybe some work friends would have come by but I am grateful they couldn’t since I was in rough shape after hemorrhaging. 
My favorite parts were the he snoozing leading up to giving birth and the snuggles wayyy after giving birth. Right after birth was kinda a mess for me so I liked it a bit later. The nurses also took great care of me ❤️

2 babies. My daughter (June 2020) was so much less stressful being just my husband and I. I wish I could have had my mother there as we are incredibly close and it felt wrong not having her there to support not only me but my poor husband who doesn’t like hospitals in general. It was so nice having bonding time with just us and our daughter without family & friends coming in and out to meet the baby. 
My son (Jan 2014) was the most stressful, uncomfortable, frustrating experience that I wish I could do over. My mom and ex mil were in the room. Only my mom had permission to be there but ex mil barged her way in and I didn’t have the energy or time to focus on her to kick her out. Then once my sweet boy was here my ex’s entire side of the family showed up after I had been up all night (morning baby) and basically took over my room. It was awful. I was exhausted. Emotionally drained. Trying to learn how to breastfeed but trying to make sure no one else was uncomfortable. 
If I give anyone any advise from this is to speak your mind, know what you want, and if your to uncomfortable to kick people out ask your nurse for help. Spend time with just you and your baby or you, your SO, and your baby depending on your situation.

Only have my pandemic baby, and although it was nice to have time to bond with the baby and it just be my husband, I wish I could have had my mom there. My plan pandemic or not was just my husband and mom. Everyone else could wait until we went home from the hospital. God love him but my husband is pretty oblivious to the female aspect of giving birth and all that so having my mom's support would have been nice.

My son I had my partner, mum and my SIL, it was everything I wanted, calm, fast, and exciting, my daughter was just my partner and I, intimate, faster then my sons and again, everything I wanted, I enjoyed both my births ☺️❤️

My June baby is my only baby and I did not want anyone to be there, besides my mom who is a L&D nurse, so I was a little upset she couldn't come.
My in-laws are not my favorite and they were insisting they were going to be in the hallway as I was delivering and busting through the moment he came out. I was in tears with my husband to not let this happen because they cause so much stress and anxiety in my life. I was so relieved when we told them they couldn't come at all. They forced themselves in on my SIL's 3rd delivery because they were furious they had to wait an hour to see her 2nd because my SIL and BIL wanted their first baby to meet his little sister before anyone. The in-laws were LIVID. To this day, they tell everyone "she had us in the delivery room, which is weird" but we all know they forced themselves in there 🙃
My husband and I both said to each other that we don't know how people do it with so many friends and family with them. It would have been way too stressful and exhausting catering to everyone while delivering.
Having a baby is between you and your SO or whoever is there to support you. I always felt it takes away from the special alone time as a family if you have others there. I'm also a VERY private person so the thought of people seeing me with my legs wide open and my girls hanging out is not it 😂
