Why are 12 year olds having sex???!!

Is anyone else weirded out by this?! I'm super conflicted between helping these children figure themselves out, and telling them to stop?! I lost my virginity at 15, which I agree is young, but I'm seeing girls on here saying their 13 or 12 asking about the 4 guys they've already slept with!

I agree with you. When I was 12/13 I wasn't even thinking about sex. I doubt I truly knew what sex was back then. While I do commend them for asking questions before hand, I do feel a little conflicted telling a 12 year old how to use a condom or the many circumstances where she might get knocked up.

We really dont stress enough to the younger generations how sex is not just a thing for fun that should be taken lightly. We need them to understamd the dangers and heart break for losing your virginity that young

It's all about the group they hang out with, lost my virginity at 13 and I don't regret it because we have been together for almost 5 years. I feel like even if you were around that age and not thinking about sex someone else was your age was thinking about sex. School influences a lot of stuff and the children going to the school do too. Kids try things together. just like kids that smoke when they are 12-15 kids that age have sex too. People grow up in different areas different hormones and different times.

I always feel very conflicted giving advice because I want them to be safe but at the same time just want to knock their heads together and tell them they're still children and sex is important. I lost my virginity at 15 and wish I'd waited for the boy I'm with now (I'm 19). My little sister is 14 and has only just started talking to boys, I was asking her yesterday what sex ed they'd had and she said none, just anatomy or something when they were 11. No safety or anything. We made an agreement that if she has any questions or is in trouble she can come to me. Even if she feels too embarrassed she can text me.
