C section and driving?

How many weeks can you not drive after having a c section? I can’t remember how many weeks I couldn’t drive for with my first. Thank you in advance! 😊

As soon as you are off of heavy pain meds and can hit the brakes quickly without hurting yourself is what my doctor told me. I still didnt do much driving before 6 weeks because my husband was home and was always driving

My OB cleared me after 2 weeks for driving.

My doctor said as long as I'm not taking pain meds and I feel well enough to slam on my brakes if needed, then I am clear to drive.

I was off the pain meds within a week but I don’t recall venturing out on my own for at least 10 days.

I would double check with your doctor. I can’t remember what they told me but I think it can depend on how you as an individual are healing as well.

I drove a week after my c-section. I was also off all pain meds by that time. I also had my babe in the nicu and needed to drive back and forth to visit as only one parent was allowed to visit at time due to covid.
