Bf worried because I havent finished with him yet

Hey so my bf and I have been sexually active for about 4 months now. No vaginal sex but lots of fingering, bj, etc.

Anyways the problem is that I haven't finished with him yet, and it's not because he is bad by any means. Any direct contact with my clit always feels like too much and sometimes feels painful. I've never been able to finish with direct contact if that makes any sense. Even when I'm just getting myself. Sometimes when my bf is trying to get me I will be right there but then never be able to go over the edge no matter how long we sit there trying.

Now, this doesn't bother me one bit as I know that it is more me than him causing the "problem". And I love this man so I could never finish with him and still be happy. The real problem is that he has started getting super sad after we do things together because he doesnt feel like he is good or is doing a good job, etc.

I guess I'm asking for advice on

1. How to make him understand it's not his fault that I haven't finished

2. How do you finish with a guy when your clit is so sensitive? Or just with a guy in general?

I've never finished with someone else before as this is only my second partner I've been sexually active with and my first partner didnt care if I finished or not.
