I live in SC and for some reason my doctor tried to push a 39 week induction on me at my last app (at 38+1). I was induced at 39 weeks with my first because we were all nervous about how much he was weighing in the ultrasounds vs how little I am.

This time around I want my second to come naturally.

But my doctor was REALLY pushing for it to happen Tuesday of next week. I told her no. But I am so curious to know why it’s pushed onto women. I know at 39 weeks it’s safe for baby and mom to be induced, but that’s still not reason enough to force it to happen.
