I had a 16 week 5 days scan today and lab tech wrote marginal /velamentous cord. Talked to the doctor she said it is velamentous cord insertion. She just said pelvic rest and no strenuous activities.

Anyone else diagnosed with this? What happened and what was the outcome?

Should i ask my doctor to have me come for a monthly ultrasound? She didnt tell me anything much. Im scared.

Also there is a bleed also behind the placenta which was not there before. Small - medium size bleed. Anyone experienced this?

What should i do??

She didnt even said that i should see a high risk specialist etc.

Baby measured 16 week 4 days and heart beat and growth was all normal.
