Mongolian Spots or Bruise?
Quick background story: im a single father who is in the middle of a custody battle with the mother. Right now, im getting 2 overnights [Tuesday and Saturday] a week for the past 4 weeks. then starting next week [Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday] ill have her three overnights for 24 hours each visit.
My daughter is 5 months and she just began showing light spots on her skin. At first I thought it was a bruise so it may have just been on the healing stage. This was the first time I noticed it...neither has the mom known bout it [nor has she neglected to tell me bout it if she knew about it].
I told her about it when I saw it after giving her a bath and she went straight to blaming me for giving her a bruise. She blamed me and my mom for doing something to her automatically without asking any other questions.
I did a little more research and found it could very well be Mongolian Spot. But I was also informed that they usually only show up at birth or shortly after. Is it possible they show up or develop later in life?
At her last weight check appt, the doctor/nurse told mom it was a Mongolian spot. That they will fade with time.
