Labor/Birthing rights in hospital?
FTM here... If there are any l&d nurses or anybody that knows about what’s allowed or not who sees this
I’m 38 weeks and after much research I really don’t want to labor and especially deliver on my back. I’ve read so much about the benefits of squatting, hands and knees or even side-lying in childbirth. Thing is I’m giving birth in a hospital and idk if they allow it? Aren’t I legally entitled to say no I don’t want to deliver on my back and they have to accommodate me (I’m okay with any other position, whatever they can do) or is it a hospital policy thing that I have to. If so I’m seriously considering changing my mind about the hospital even though it’s last minute. OR does it depend on which hospital? If anyone has any insight I really appreciate it thank you.
