I tested positive for HSV2 almost 2 years ago. Recently met a great man and we’ve been dating for about 4 months. Just this past weekend we made things official. He has been very aware of my situation as we discussed probably after the second date. While having sex for the first time, we were both drunk and no protection was used. I felt super irresponsible and told him about it. He was very nonchalant, mentioning he’s not going anywhere so it’s cool.

However we’ve continued to have sex and now i believe i have a sore on my vagina opening .. now I’m freaking out because i don’t know if It was there while we had sex.

I am on valtrex doing suppressive therapy so i take 500mg daily and i don’t miss a day. But being sexual on an outbreak is a definite that he now has it right? I’m freaking out. I should’ve been more responsible and i know he probably won’t care but It would hurt me knowing i gave it to him. :(
