How often do you wake baby to feed?

Just curious how often you wake your newborn to feed? My LO is 11 days and I wake him every 2 hours during the day and every 3 hours at night; or feed on demand, which ever comes first. 
(For my first- her peds said feed 2-3 hours during the day / on demand then after 12am don’t wake, let baby wake me because she needs to learn the difference between night & day). My 2nd made back his birth weight and is 7oz over that weight, wondering if I can start that process again. Going to ask peds on Saturday. Just looking for your feeding schedules!

My daughter was pretty jaundice when she was first born, so for the first week her pediatrician said we needed to be waking her every 3 hours to eat, even at night. Once her levels came down we didn’t have to wake her up any more. she would eat every 3-4 hours during the day then sleep from 10-5.

Never. 🤣 I figure if there was any negative for my baby the dr or I would notice & I’d wake them. It never happened, I never woke them & both sleep like champs 🤣

I was told every 2 hours. The hospital had me waking her up all the time and sometimes it would take 15 minutes to wake her up. They wouldn’t let her sleep

I never woke my baby even in hospital before she got her birth weight back. I just don’t understand it to be honest unless they are really not thriving. In what natural circumstance should you actually wake a baby...

I was told every 3 hrs for breastfed baby (if they don't wake on their own). My daughter doesn't need to be woken she does it on her own. Because of that I only do feed on demand. For the first few weeks she was waking every two hours but now has moved to every 3. And now that she's putting on enough weight she wouldn't need to be woken up anyway.. She's just over month old an has gained 2.2 pounds so it's working.
