We cant agree on a name :(

I feel stuck and kinda hormonal about this. We have been set on this trio of names since we found out it was a girl but we can't agree on which name. They are all a variation of each other.

He likes Ariella

I like Arie

My son likes Aria

The the tough part is each of us do not like the other persons name. We are all stubbornly set on what we like. I don't want to be stubborn but honestly I don't want to name the baby something I will never call them. My other 2 kids have short names that can't be turned into nicknames and that's how I like it. I personally don't like nicknames.

I really don't like how long Ariella is since my other two kids are very short names and our last name is long and I don't feel like it flows well and I know I'll only ever use the nickname Arie and not the full name. Plus my inlaws cant prounce it at all. I don't mind Aria that much but In my head I've been calling her Arie since I found out it was a girl. And Aria is the name of our fitbit scale lol. Idk I feel like a stubborn jerk but to me her name is Arie and Ive really been trying to get myself used to the longer name but it just doesn't feel right.

What are your thoughts, any advice?

We talked about names again today and he said he doesn't know if he would ever actually call her Ariella, he said he would probably call her Arie or Aria but just likes that ariella sounds more like.a complete name. Ugh I don't want to name her something none of us intending on calling her 🤦
