Something like a lymph node on my daughter's cheek

Hi everybody

Our daughter is now 8 days old and since the 1st day there is something like a lymph node on her left cheek just under the skin. It's also bruised a bit, but the bruis is going away. The node however is staying. It's not painful tho

We consulted a pediatrician and he said that we have to do an ultrasound to detemine whether it's cancer or not. That got us real worried. Has anyone been in a same situation before or has amy experience in the matter?

I attached a picture and circulated the spot of the node.
