Embryo adoption

A little background: my husband and I adopted an embryo two years ago and have a daughter as a result. She is more perfect than I could have ever imagined. We haven’t told anyone that she isn’t biologically ours and don’t plan to. It’s a bit creepy because she looks so much like me when I was a baby. We believe we cannot have our own children due to many failed IVF attempts and no answers. We are meeting with our RE next week to discuss adopting another embryo.

With all of this being said, we wouldn’t tell anyone that this baby was an adopted embryo either. Has anyone adopted an embryo and the baby not looked like you or spouse at all? If so, how did you explain this or were you open with family, friends, etc.

I’m seriously looks for answers here. This is already very hard for us so please don’t judge. This is what we have decided is best for our family at the moment!
