What are some other names beside mom?

I don’t know why I am uncomfortable with the name mom. I don’t really feel like one. Are there other names your kids call you or do you plan on teaching them other names to call you besides mom?

We are a same sex couple expecting our second baby. Our daughter (2.5yo) calls me Mama, and my wife Mazzy. 
My wife called her mom ‘Ma, Maz, Mazzy’ so we kept with it to differentiate between us. 
Your kid will pick up on whatever your significant other, or you refer to yourself as ☺️
We’re also big on nicknames, so I’m sure both our names will evolve as our daughter and new baby grow!

My daughter calls me mum, but when she was little I was mama, mum mum or mummy. 
It can be unusual to think of yourself as "mum" or "mom" when you are having your first baby but you get used to it :)
My mum didn't want to be called Grandma because she felt it didn't suit her, my daughter calls her gma which suits my mum so well :)

Not sure if this us the case but if you speak a different language you can just that... I’m might go with mammy or what I call my mom is ama (which can mean mother or loved in Spanish)

With my first it felt weird for 2 months. I didn't feel like a min yet🤷 I had a little bit of imposter syndrome type feelings when I heard the words mom referring to me.
It faded once the exhaustion and work set in I felt like I had finally earned it

My kids call me momma for now but I always referred to my mom as “mother” and rarely called her mom 😅 same with my father.. he was always father.

My 10 year old son still calls me mommy.  My my 18 month old calls me Mama. I'm sure I'll be mom to both at some point and this new babe.

My kids call me Momma or Mommy. I don't like Mom either. It sounds too blah. But sometimes having kids makes you feel is blah so maybe it fits. Lol
