How do you get your kids to allow you to brush their teeth?
This has become a nightmare for us. I brush my LOs teeth 2x a day. Recently he has started fighting it. He runs away from me, hides, hits, anything he can do to fight it. It's really hard in the mornings at least because he fights it for so long that I end up being late for work. Like it took 30 minutes to get him to brush his teeth this morning 🤦♀️
I need some ideas that will make this process easier. I usually sit myself where he can't run away and make him stay there until he lets me brush his teeth. But that has turned the process into a standoff every day now where he thinks it's a game. I dont want to just hold him down and force him to brush because I don't want to associate brushing with something negative. I think he already does a little bit because he fell and knocked a couple teeth loose a few months ago and didn't want his mouth touched for a while. Idk if that has anything to do with him hating to have his teeth brushed or not. It's just getting really frustrating. Any ideas to make this easier would be appreciated
