I think all natural is amazing i want to do a water birth but in the hospital justin case things go wrong.

Personally, I believe modern medicine has done a lot of amazing things and I trust it to help me deliver a beautiful, healthy baby. But I think natural birth is great in a lot of ways, too and if that's what you feel is best for your baby then more power to you!

I'm kinda crunchy I didn't have a home birth but I gave birth natural no drugs vaginal birth and breastfeeding and giving my daughter apple sauce with no added sugar it only has natural sugar...

Why is it called crunchy?

I'm planning to be pretty crunchy. I'm a hippie in my husband's eyes. Total Darma to his Greg if you remember that show.
I am respecting his wish for me to give birth at a hospital, it just so happens we live about 5 miles from one of the top hospitals for mother-led births in our state. So I'll go there, just in case, and have a natural squatting birth where I will have kangaroo care and skin to skin contact.

To the women who go the all natural route, congrats, more power too you. Unfortunately, it's not an option for my. I have type 1 diabetes and I will be a high rise pregnancy and will require lots of special care. Hell, I have to inject man made insulin into my body every single day or I will die, so I guess even my blood isn't natural lol

I guess I am too much of a natural sceptic to go 100% crunchy. Certain things I am willing to try, as long as they're non-invasive (yoga, meditation, etc), and any time modern medicine and crunchiness align (breast feeding, ginger for nausea, etc) I will trust it. But if I only hear about a "natural" remedy through the grape vine or the Internet and there's no peer-reviewed science to back it up, then I'm going to remain sceptical. If it works for you (collective you), great! I'm glad. For me, I'll take advice, but I reserve the right to go "Enh, no"

I, once, did a session with a naturopathic practitioner. If she'd used a little more reasoning and a little less sympathetic magic (touched a bottled substance and then pushed down on my arm), I'd have been more receptive to what she told me.

On the flip side, when the news about bacon being carcinogenic came out, I made sure to read up on the actual results of the actual studies, so that I could draw my own conclusions. In the end, bacon remains a "sometimes" food for me.
