39+6 weeks, 4 cm dilated, still no contractions?

Hey everyone,

So I have been 2 cm dilated and 70% effaced since 36 weeks. I'm now 3.5-4 cm dilated, I've had two membrane sweeps, and I'm having irregular contractions (if they're even actual contractions). With my son I got to 3 cm 100% effaced and no contractions either, but my water broke and they had to induce me. They want to induce me by Saturday because my son was 8.5 lbs and a little nervous this baby might get too big. Although I'm measuring right on track, I also was with my son as well. I'd like to give her more time and come when she's ready, but I'm feeling discouraged and not sure what the best decision would be. I also know that I ovulated at least 5 days late and I'm positive my due date is a bit too early, but they go by my last menstrual cycle. For most of the pregnancy she had been measuring a week behind and is now finally measuring on track.

Anyone have a similar experience? What did you end up doing if so?
