Nuna vs UppaBaby Travel Systems?

Question

I’m debating between the Numa and UppaBaby travel systems. This is our first baby and the “plan” is to have two fairly close together. The benefit of the UppaBaby vs Nuna seems to be the ability to convert into a double stroller. Both pricey but Nuna is cheaper. I have friends that have the UppaBaby and LOVE it but don’t know anyone who has the Nuna since it’s relatively new. Thoughts?

We love our vista for one. I have hated pushing it with a second child. I don’t know about the demi grow, but I don’t care for the placement of the seats. I think side by side is probably the way to go for 2 kids. The donkey is a super nice push, or Zoe if you’re looking for something a little lighter.

The uppababy is definitely well known for how well it pushes, but I have a lot of friends who say that the uppababy maneuvers much better as a single vs a double. Once it becomes a double I’ve heard it’s hard to handle, the push becomes more difficult, and it feels bulky overall. 
I personally am not a fan of tandem strollers. I had a cheaper one that went from single to double, and while I loved it in single mode, it did the exact same thing as the uppababy when it became a double, it was absolutely monstrous to handle. I ended up selling it so I could get a side by side double instead. I ended up with a bugaboo Donkey2, which is a side by side that can go from single to double, and fit thru standard doors even in double mode. The push on it is incredible, even as a double, and I love how it maneuvers. It’s a little heavy when loading and unloading from your vehicle, but I think it’s worth it for how amazing it is. 
I’ve also heard great things about nuna, it handles very well and has excellent quality cloth work in the seats. If the strollers are anything like their car seats, it should be amazing.

My friends had an Uppababy and we used it while babysitting for them. We absolutely hated it. This was while we were TTC, so long before we were looking at strollers so I had no idea it was so expensive. Now that I know how expensive it is I just cannot understand the price for that stroller. To me it didn’t handle well at all, definitely not as well as a stroller that costs a month’s rent should. 
When we got pregnant shortly after that they offered us that stroller for free and we politely declined. Using it everyday for our baby would have driven me nuts.
