Nap/Bedtime Issues?

Question

Is anyone's July '18 baby dealing with a nasty regression right now? Or are they showing any signs of being ready to drop their nap? If your toddler isn't napping anymore, how did the transition for you/them go?

Malachai showed signs of wanting to skip a nap for a month straight. I kept pushing for the nap everyday and the past 2 weeks he has taken it happily. He fought the nap but would be awful 1-2 hours before bed time so I just knew it just wasn’t time.

Ava naps maybe 1-2x a week. But she does quiet time in her bed for the full 2 hours for nap if she doesn’t sleep. Kids at this age still need that down time and it’s young to drop the nap completely. Of course, if they won’t nap they won’t nap, but we still require she be in her bed. She can play with her stuffed animals, look out the window, sing. Whatever. But she needs to be quiet and stay in bed.

We are still napping here! Sawyer is up at 7:30am & she lays down at 1:00pm. She doesn’t always fall asleep right away but we let her know that’s okay..she’s always welcome to have a book in her toddler bed. We wake her around 2:30-2:45. Bedtime is 8:30 & she isn’t fighting that. I’m holding on to this nap as long as I can, lol!!

Dean still naps readily. The only time he doesn’t get one is if we are out and about during nap time, in that case he sleeps in the car on the way home. With the baby sitter he puts himself down for a nap around 10 and sleeps for like an hour, when he’s home he takes a nap around 11/12 and sleeps for about 2 hours, it doesn’t seem to matter if he naps or not when it comes to bedtime, sometimes he’s balls to the wall, sometimes he’s ready for bed at 8/7:30🤷🏼‍♀️

So nasty 😒 she's not ready to drop it but neither dies she want to sit still and let herself fall asleep for nap or bedtime. Tried no nap today instead of fighting with her and she peed herself twice this afternoon despite being potty trained for the last 1.5 years and got put to bed halfway through an early dinner for being so rude to me.

Harlen is showing signs of dropping her nap, won’t fall asleep until about an hour or two after we put her down. Sometimes not at all. I am NOT ready. Mum needs that nap time to get stuff done and just have a moment 🤣.
Night sleep is still good though 🤞.

My daughter only takes a nap if she gets up early (5am). Otherwise she sleeps till 7/730 am and does not take a nap. Her bedtime is between 7 and 8.

I also should have mentioned we dealt with a nasty regression that lasted for months with overnight waking and crying when we left her room at night. I think it’s related to separation anxiety. We started leaving her door open a crack and put the dog’s bed outside her door so she felt less alone. Each morning she sleeps without crying for us, she gets a sticker on a chair. We are 24 nights straight with no crying!
