Period cups

Question

I’m looking for a good cup, I’m currently using the flex cup and so far I’m hating it. It’s hard to insert and whenever i go to release it, the hole in the bottom where the sting is to pull it let’s all of the blood out.
I had to empty it at work today because i could feel it slipping out of me, and it looked like a murder scene, i had blood all over because it didn’t stay in the cup.
Just looking for any recommendations on a cup

Menstrual cups are so specific to your anatomy/flow. If you haven’t taken the PACII Quiz that might be a good resource for you. I took it and got the Lunette cup, and it ended up being great for me.

I'm switching to a reusable disk as of now, my old menstrual cup started rubbing and hurting me down there 😣 could be worth a try?

I use Saalt with the stem trimmed down almost all the way. It's comfy and easy to insert. It only slips when it's full. When I sleep in it, it can ride up but I haven't had many problems with it. Only 1 leak in over a year. I tried Diva Cup first but found them really uncomfortable.

I like the Lily Cup. Small and easy to travel with. I have one in my work bag and one at home.

I like the flex disc rather than a cup. Cups always felt uncomfortable to me and I had a hard time figuring them out. I had much better luck with the disc. Flex also had disposable discs that you can try first to see if you like them before buying the reusable.

Hey! I've tried several and really found that the more conical or slight bell shaped cups worked best for me. The cauldron looking cups were annoying to insert and remove. 
Saalt, Juno, Ruby, and Pixie are my favorites, probably because they're all shaped the same. Ruby and Pixie come with darker colors that help to hide any staining you may have. I also like that there's an option for Ruby to donate a cup. I use the tri-fold as it's easier for me to insert, but my cousin (using Saalt) finds that pressing in the side works best for her. 
 My first cup was the Lily from Intimina. I like the rim and little pour "spout" that made it super easy to start with. It folded nicely (C-fold and Tri-fold work best for me), but I found that I could use any fold and have it work perfectly. I also tried the collapsable to keep in my purse but it's a pain in the ass to use, so I wouldn't bother with that one.

It empties itself when you use the restroom. It’s a little tricky to get out, I prefer to change mine in the shower. Other than that it’s been a wonderful.

Which size flex cup are you using? What method are you using to insert? How far down do you have the ring pulled through? How long have you been using it? All these factors make a difference too. I definitely found there was a learning curve to the cups. I tried another that was so hard I couldn't ever get it inserted. Personally I have to really visualize how they recommend to insert it because that makes a HUGE difference. Also, depending on where I'm at I'm my cycle my cervix was in different places (it shifts depending on your cycle - for me at least) and I had to be more mindful of how it was sitting. If you're really new I'd give it more time, maybe wear a panty liner for the first few periods as a backup. Keep at it though, it made a huge difference for my comfort during my periods and I'm so glad I kept trying until I got it.

I have a mooncup they are different sizes so are designed to fit your body. There's a really good q&a page to highlight misconceptions and help tips, took a while for me to get used to it but definitely worth it! Great company
