Subsequent children theory

No

You know how they say your second labor will be faster? And the ones after that as well. They say your first one takes the longest.l to deliver.

Although for many women that’s not the case, it does tend to be statistically true for the majority but articles vary as to why. Some say your body “knows the drill” and some say your hips are already looser. But it struck me today that I am WAY more active this pregnancy than the last one.

So if I deliver early this time (please God please!) I think it’ll be thanks to my toddler! 😄

Fixing three meals a day in a kitchen that needs perpetual cleaning, picking up toys daily, bathing a child nightly, lifting and holding a child daily, hauling myself up and down off the floor to play with him, and running around on extra errands and adventures with the kid... all of that’s got to be a big part of it...right? Last pregnancy I worked from home with no kids and could sleep in a little every morning and nap in the afternoons and had far less kitchen duty and housecleaning to do.

It’s just a thought, didn’t read it anywhere, but hopefully all the physical work I’ve pushed myself to do this pregnancy will pay off with baby showing up by my due date. I went past with my first.
