Would you attend a wedding on a Monday?

I recently received an invite to a Monday wedding and it shocked me as I've never ever heard of a wedding on a Monday. Interested to see others opinions!

Absolutely. My son and his fiance are looking at venues and week day weddings are about 3000 less than weekend weddings. As long as the couple give guests adequate time to schedule time off work I dont see the issue.

Is it during the day or at night? If it's during the workday they have to be okay with the possibility of people not being able to show, it's a bit inconsiderate imo to expect people to take off work for your wedding. Some people don't have the means or ability to do so. If it's at night it's alright, but still seems like a weird choice. My mind would assume that they're trying to make it more affordable, but it would just come off as cheap to me. Weddings can definitely be affordable on weekends, my wedding was only $3,000 on a Saturday in October in NY. I'd go to the Monday wedding if it were at night, but I'd only stay for a very short time because I'd have work the next day. I wouldn't take off work for it if it were during the day, I wouldn't go.

Yes. Our wedding is on 6/15. It has been since we got engaged years ago. 6/15 is our anniversary so it doesn’t matter at all what day of the week it is, that’s when we’re getting married.

Yes. Do you know how inexpensive it is to get married on a weekday rather than the weekend? It’s ridiculous. I’d go (even though I’m a SAHM) and I’m sure my husband would request off if it was someone close to us.

Once attended a family wedding on a Thursday morning a few hrs away, so many people had to take off work and the couple never explained why the wedding was on a Thursday so idk but everyone will always have an opinion so if it's you're wedding do what you want

Weekday weddings are probably less expensive if a venue and other services are being rented. If I get an invite in plenty of time to make arrangements of course I'd go.

Why not. Take a day of leave, you'll have a few weeks/months of notice to organise your affairs.

It would have to be someone close to me because I work in healthcare and hold a very critical job title within my unit, I’d have to request that off and would want to make sure it was someone worth doing that for.

Yes i would. Weekday weddings are often cheaper to book. My friends got married on a Thursday, the same venue on the Saturday was £7k more
