When did you buy your first baby bits? (Clothes etc, not nursery furniture)

I’m currently 16W +3 and still too scared to buy anything. 🙈 I seem to have convinced myself that once I start buying, it’ll jinx things and something will go wrong.

I waited until after my baby shower since many people bought things that weren't on the registry 
-my best friend got me a "recovery basket" with everything I needed to heal after delivery (adult daipers, pads, nipple cream, etc.)
-I also got a TON of baby clothes (all sizes between 0-12mo) even though I barely put any on the registry.

I started collecting gender-neutral clothing last year, just got the feeling like I would have a baby soon and it won't hurt to start preparing slowly. I hung up one of the baby onesies on my wall and I always look at it and smile and imagine my baby in it. It's a goal to meet, and I'm excited for the day when I get there 💕❤️🙏

I’m 15 weeks & 2 days, between me, my sisters, and my mom I have a whole tote of baby stuff already lol we found out the gender early

I waited until 24 weeks to slowly start buying things. I had previously had a miscarriage so I wanted to wait until the pregnancy was viable

When we found out gender, we bought him two little outfits. At 32 weeks i ordered him a singular pack of cloth diapers. We haven’t bought anything else 🤷‍♀️ we have nursery furniture from our foster daughter and our baby shower covered us on almost everything else! All i have to do is get him a few more pjs in small sizes.

I start buying right away.  I don’t believe in jinxing lol.  I will say, any pricey items, make sure to build/test right away so you’re not out of your return window if something doesn’t work.

I'm 32 weeks and still haven't bought a single thing. My mum on the other hand did some shopping and gifted a whole big box of clothes. Now I just have to buy whatever else that's remaining 🤷🏻‍♀️

I ordered my cot when I was 13 weeks and I’m glad I did because it took 3 months to arrive 🙃

I waited until after baby shower. Glad I waited because I hardly had to buy anything and got gift cards and it was more organized for me to see what I already have vs what I still need. If your not having a baby shower than I would as soon as I find out the gender. Start slowly buying things that way your not overwhelmed later.
