When to announce...

Question

When is everyone planning on announcing their pregnancy? My first appointment isn't until June 24th. I'm so ready to announce but I feel like if I do then that will jinx me😬
We have had 3 losses. I've only gotten 2 babies earth side. So I'm nervous.

I told my family immediately, coworkers and boss immediately (due to job restrictions I would need), and friends immediately 😂 im going to announce on social media tomorrow at 8weeks. “Shared joy is doubled and shared grief is halved” is my favorite saying for this. But everyone is different, there’s no right or wrong do what is best for you without shame!

I waited till I was 12 weeks with my second. I have my first appointment at 9 weeks this time around, so I will announce after that

We've told a select few, in case of WCS we'll have support. If things continue to go well, we go fully public on June 27th (11wk6d) at a joint bday party for our son and his cousin by having our son open a gift consisting of a "big brother" shirt and book! Sticky dust to all 💖

Pretty much told everyone immediately. Had my orientation with the nurse in Wednesday, my ultrasound yesterday, and I'll see the Dr for the first time next Wednesday. Its ok to announce sooner if you want. IF you were to have another loss, fingers crossed you won't, the people you tell can be a great support system; even then, you don't have explain it to anyone should that happen, so you can proceed with whatever feels right for you and your family. Also, im sorry for the losses you've had, but I do want to give a gentle reminder that each pregnancy is different, so while it's hard, try not to compare them. If you're feeling stressed, it can influence your pregnancy, try to relax and do something to take your mind off everything. 😊

I’m so sorry for your previous losses ♥️
This is my second pregnancy. I had my initial appointment in May and have gradually told people, mainly because of work. I’ve been so exhausted and am so moody, I felt like I should say something. Lol our first ultrasound is next week, around 10 weeks. I will probably do the public/social media announcement after that.

I told my mom and close friends immediately. I’ve had 2 losses. The first they knew and were there to comfort me. The second, I didn’t tell anyone because of the fear of loss. When I did lose it, I felt so isolated and alone. This time I did not want that for myself. We just told his mom today at 8 weeks because he wanted to wait. As far as announcing on like social media I am aiming for 14 weeks just so I can enjoy this baby all to myself for as long as possible.

I’m 8 weeks 2 days today and we told our kids and my parents today. We won’t be telling extended family or friends until after my first ultrasound around 12 weeks.

I told my boss this week cause I’ve been so sick and tired. She’s also a good friend and knew we were trying since last summer. I was going to try to go see my parents to announce in person but I will probably call this weekend instead because I don’t think I could make the 4 hour drive myself. Other than that I will probably wait til close to 12 weeks. This is my first pregnancy

I have told a few people and I’m 6+4. I waited to officially announce until 12wks with my other 2 kids. I will wait til 12 wks to announce with this one too.
