Does anterior placenta mean sunny side up baby always?

Does anterior placenta always mean baby would be sunny side up when delivering? Like baby face towards the hip and not towards the stomach.
I have heard sunny side up baby delivery is more painful etc

My friends baby was back to back (sunny side up) she didn’t have a anterior placenta so I don’t know if it has anything to do with it ☺️

I had an anterior placenta with my second & he was sunny side up, but I’ve never been told that the two go hand in hand.

There IS a correlation and it is more likely to happen but only at a very slightly increased chance.  My second was sunny side up and I had a posterior placenta.  My third was facing my hip rather than up or my back and I had an anterior placenta with him.  My fourth has an anterior placenta and *currently* faces my back but I’m only 24w so know well that could change

No correlation. My second was sunnyside up and I didn’t have an anterior placenta. I’m not sure if labor is more painful but if you’re baby is sunnyside up, you tend to have back labor, which I definitely had! Every contraction started sharp like I was stabbed in my back then radiated towards my uterus and vagina… also my baby flipped right before I started pushing and I only had to push for 15-20 minutes, but either way my doctor wasn’t worried about me delivering her sunnyside up. Overall my labor and delivery I thought was pretty “easy” you could say, but most think back labor is worse. I also only in labor for 12 hours too. My first I had a c-section because he was breech then with my second my doctor said I would be a perfect candidate for a VBAC given I’m healthy and my first was not due to failure to progress but just because he was breech. Best decision ever to do a VBAC with my second even with back contractions because the recovery of a c-section is no joke. I’m doing another VBAC this time around the too! Anyway, good luck. If you’re baby is sunnyside up, I wouldn’t worry about it. You got this! 😊❤️

I had an anterior placenta and my daughter was in the normal position.

I’m not sure if it’s always true, but with my daughter this was the case. I had an epidural, so I couldn’t tell you if it was more painful (also nothing else to compare it to). We did end up having to use the vacuum for the last 3 pushes to get her out to avoid a c-section but I’m fairly certain that was a unique thing and not the normal! Here’s her ‘just out of the womb’ pic. Even sunny side up, not a mark!
