guys last Sunday 5/30 I called off work bc I was throwing up all morning & never received a text back but I knew I got covered bc I got someone for me . Anyways I always leave 25 minutes before going to work bc I live 20 mins away & On Monday at the exit of the highway there was a 30 minute block . I already woke up sad asf and was tired and the manager of the other store ( not my restaurant ) called my phone and was like “ so you plan on showing up to work or not “ I said I’m at the light & didn’t think I was actually that late I didn’t look at the time so she goes next time let me know . WHICH I UNDERSTAND and I apologized for it bc it was my fault I should’ve let her know & later on she decides to walk up on me and basically say that what was I thinking not calling or texting her to let her know I was going to be late. Like I deadass already apologized and clearly was already all shitfaced & sad at least I still showed up . So I said I wasn’t thinking and walked away bc I had things to do

Well on Friday ( yesterday ) she decides to tell me she wants to talk to me about last week

She told me that she knows it’s my first job that when I call out I need to call out and not text and that it let a bad taste in her mouth and it was unprofessional and then proceeded to say that on Monday she would’ve just replaced me and when I showed up I would’ve lost my hours bc I was 30 minutes late and I opened . Even though I was late , I got everything that was supposed to be done b4 we opened done with no help but ofc she doesn’t know that . And she continued to say that bc I got a raise and they are helping me out that I need to step it up and she doesn’t want to take my money away from me . She said that what I’ve done was not good and I need to be better bc of what they are paying me . Mind you in the year I’ve been working I have never called off and never been that late & I’ve always done what was asked . & I since January have said I don’t want to work on my birthday next Saturday and guess who is working 🙃 .

Guys I would also like to vent that without me all the new hires we just got this week would be lost ( I honestly have been the only one training them correctly & I wasn’t even trained on how to trained ) and if I don’t do much why does everyone working come to me , to ask me what they should do for the day ? Why does my coworker want me to leave everything bc it seems like I’m the one who can learn it faster ( he things when an opportunity opens up that I should be the one to take it ) also if the owners would’ve had a problem they would’ve called me about it THE DAY OF & none of them did .

my mom says why I didn’t talk back to her , and speak my mind bc I stayed quiet , my mom tells me I should’ve just spoke up and defend myself and also put in my two weeks notice.

I feel like I’m being manipulated, there is so much I can say , this is the only way I can get it off my chest & I have a headache rn so I’m sorry if I messed up a few . Any advice would be helpful.

I only asked if it’s manipulation bc she said they gave me a raised like 2 months ago and bc I called off & was late that I was doing bad and I need to prove that I’m working what they are paying me .

why keep bringing up the raise every time they want to talk to me like if I’m not doing anything bc she has said I don’t do enough !!

Which I do bc I do most of the prep all the time and the best at training this week and everyone just piggy back off of me & I tell them what to do 🥴 when by now everyone should know what to do not the new hires this week though
