My soon to be 2 year old isn’t talking yet. He is going to be enrolled in Aba therapy. I have not been given a diagnosis for him except that he is speech delayed and could use some help with his other cognitive abilities. I have asked about their opinion on if he is autistic. I was told they cannot make that decision. Is it possible he will catch up and not be autistic? Anyone else ever been in this position and there child was average. I’m worried being isolated during covid really set him back a lot.
