Can I give my 10 month old cough syrup while giving Motrin?

My 10-month-old has a really bad cough and is fevering. Can I give him the zar bees cough syrup while giving Motrin when needed? Sorry idk I’m first time mom and not sure.

If it’s the Zarabees for under 12mo (no honey), then yes. It’s just designed to coat their throats and doesn’t have a pain reliever in it.

As long as it’s the Zarbees BABY then yes. There is no medication in that, it’s just agave syrup to help coat their throat similar to honey.

Please be very careful when given children over the counter cough syrup. Most of them have Tylenol or Motrin in them too so could accidentally overdose if you’re also giving Tylenol or Motrin separately.
Additionally there have been studies that show cough medications do not actually help reduce cough in children but could increase risk if death through respiratory depression.
Hydration, humidity and honey do work, but don’t give honey to anyone less than a year old.
