I’m 36 weeks pregnant with baby #2. What does it mean?
Soft cervix
-2 station 
1 cm dilated 
50% effaced 
Can baby come soon if I try things to get her going?

Answer

Nothing until you’re in active labor. You could stay there for weeks or you could go into labor tomorrow. I walked around at 4 cm and 0 station for weeks with my first.

At 36 weeks I was 2cm, over 50% effaced (can’t remember what she said), and he’s at station 0. Just getting ready for labor. Nothing will make them come faster if your body isn’t ready.

Nope. I’m 40+2 weeks and I’ve been 3cm dilated for a month. It really means nothing. In fact I go in tomorrow to be induced.
