When did you start planning/putting nursery together in covid times?

Hi ladies,
I went to a baby store today just for fun to see what’s available and what all my hubby and I gotta do to. To our surprise we found that many furniture items are gonna 20 weeks to get delivered due to covid causing delays. This may not be case for your area and where you live.
I’m curious when did you start putting nursery together? I want to .. but I’m little hesitant till start of third trimester. I will be 20 weeks in 2 weeks.

I got my nursery furniture from target and had everything bought and out together before 20 weeks I think. I had to order everything except the crib from the website and it took about a week ish to come in. The crib they had in store

I made a list of the big purchases and started week 14. I wouldn’t say I’ve completed a nursery but we have crib, dresser, car seat, rocker, changing pad, bassinet and a few accessories. The biggest pain was painting. I’m 21 weeks, and now just admiring cute stuff I could add! I did get the crib on Craigslist, but everything else was slowly ordered online.

I started my nursery at 14 weeks and had it completed by 36. Nothing was delayed for us- it was difficult to find time with a toddler. Otherwise it wouldve been completed sooner.

Even pre Covid it took 6-8 weeks for the crib to come in for our last baby. Then they “lost” the order and that color was no longer available so we went with something else. I would order furniture ASAP.

We bought our nursery furniture when I was 14 weeks. We got lucky though and the set we wanted was only a 6 week turnaround time. Other sets they had were 10-20 weeks. I intentionally had us go early due to the shipping delays I’d heard about. I’d rather set everything up early than be biting my fingers toward the end hoping it’s delivered before the baby is.

I’ll be 27 weeks tomorrow and I painted a week ago, also hung the wall shelves. I have almost everything purchased, but I’ll still probably wait another few weeks before I build the crib and start getting things placed.

Our nursery furniture was completely finished by 20 weeks and I added the decor right after the anatomy scan. So it was 100% done by 21/22 weeks. I'm now almost 34 weeks and there's no way I'd feel up to doing a nursery in my third trimester. I'm too exhausted...but I do have two other kids I chase after each day, as well as being pregnant.

I am 21 weeks and just ordered a nursery set off Wayfair last night. It said the expected delivery date is the 17th. If you go in store to purchase furniture, it will take a LONG time so we opted for online… some stuff is even more expensive because of the price of lumber supposedly 😬😬😬😬 my sister bought us a rocking chair and matching ottoman which was already delivered so we’re pretty much set for the large items we needed for the nursery

I bought my crib at the start of my second trimester. I don’t have a nursery specifically, but we do have a large bedroom with room for the baby. I have my crib set up, a dresser ready, and the changing table is attached to crib to save on space. I felt like I was behind in planning when I started my second trimester, now I’m almost to my third and I actually feel ready to bring my baby girl home.
