Hospital clothes for baby?

What should I be packing for baby to wear in the hospital? I know the going home outfit for sure. But do you pack footie onesies? Sleep gowns? Or just swaddles??

Our hospital had onesies and swaddles for baby. We didn’t put baby in our clothes until it was time to go home!
If for some reason your hospital doesn’t provide clothes, I’d just recommend Velcro swaddles and onesies. But I think it’s pretty standard for hospitals to provide clothes for bath while they’re in the hospital

I don't think you will need any baby clothes when my baby was born the hospital provide clothes I did tried putting on clothes I got myself but the nurses would take them of and use what they have in the hospital.

I brought several wool sleepers (both kids are born mid winter) and a few outfits. Preferred him to use normal clothes instead of the odd sized hospital one.

I kept my first mostly naked so we could constantly do skin to skin. I think I just brought a gown or two.

I never put my babies in clothes until the day we left the hospital. Always naked with diaper and swaddled cause it’s easier for skin to skin

Our hospital provided clothing and swaddles until we were discharged. All we brought was a going home outfit and a blanket for the car seat.

I packed 2 outfits…one for going home, and one in case they had a diaper blow out after I changed them for going home 😂
Other than that, I used hospital clothes (except with my nicu baby) because colostrum spit up and meconium stain the crap out of everything.  I wanted them to deal with that laundry lol.  I did bring a special swaddle blanket for each though

I brought a few outfits but o honestly kept my son in the one the hospital gave me because it was a onesie plus a swaddle so it was just easier for me to work with. Even took an extra one home with me lol. But I did put him in an outfit I brought to take him home
