Ghosted before we ever hung out??

Hi ladies, about 6-8 months ago a guy from my town started following my business pages on social media. He also owns his own business so I know he was trying to network probably but after looking at his posts I saw he was so damn fine 😍 we messaged a couple times about work stuff but that was the extent of it. Liked each other’s posts etc. (he’s in his late 30’s and I’m in my early 30’s btw)

Anyways I was at the grocery store last week and was waiting at the deli counter to order and I look up and I see him in line on the other side of the deli and I was like omg that’s the guyyyy and he looked even better in person. I looked like Shit that day so put my head down and walked away.

A couple hours later I decided to message him and ask if that was really him and he said it was and that he saw me too and his exact words were ‘I saw you turn the corner and thought oh man she looks good’ so we ended up talking that whole day then he gave me his number and told me to text him and then said we should go to the beach for sunset. So we made plans for Friday and we spoke every day up until that point. He would say good morning and hoped I had a good day etc. well the time came for us to meet and I told him I had just got home and was about to shower and I’d let him know when I was ready.

Well an hour before we were going to meet he says his brother broke down on the highway and he had to go help him but it should only take an hour. I said no problem. He said he would text me after he dropped him off. 2 1/2 hours went by and he said I just dropped him off and I desperately need to shower. I said ok and at this point sunset was in 45 min so I said If you can’t make it it’s ok we can reschedule so he says yeah I feel so bad but I’m not gonna make it to the beach by sunset. And I said no worries I’m down to still meet if you want though so let me know. And NOTHING. I saw the bubbles that he was typing but NO FUCKING RESPONSE. He watched my story the next morning on IG but still nothing. So Saturday I said ‘hey If you didn’t want to hang that’s cool. I haven’t heard from you so I’m not sure if you want to reschedule or not. either way, no worries’ and still nothing.

WHAT IS WRONG WITH THESE MEN?! He initiated us hanging out then ghosts me. We live 5 min from each other so I’m sure I will run into him again at some point but ugh. I just needed to vent. If you’ve read this far, thank you 🤣. Oh, do you think I should just let it be or say something again like ‘did I do something wrong?’ 🤔🤔
