2nd Shower/Registry?

I'm pregnant with rainbow baby #2 - a girl! Our first rainbow was a boy almost 2 years ago.
Is it tacky to have a registry or shower if we need girl stuff? Granted we don't need a lot because things from our first were neutral, but I'm still curious.

I don't plan to have another shower for baby 2. I did make a registry, but I don't plan to send it to anyone unless they specifically ask. I made the registries mostly to get the completion discount at the end so I can buy what I need with a discount from each place.

I do think it’s tacky.  And I’m not saying that to be rude, only because you asked💞 I’m having a boy now and I had a girl last year, but I’m definitely not having a shower or creating a registry.

It’s not tacky. If you want to do it, go for it. We’ve actually already had several people ask us at a minimum about a registry. When I brought up about the thought that some people think it’s tacky, every person s response was “Last was a boy, this is a girl & every baby should be celebrated”

I’ve had 2 girls and this one is a boy, so my sisters are throwing me a shower. I’m going to make a registry but it will only have clothes, diapers and books as I have all the big items. Celebrate your baby how you want. Some people might think it’s tacky (I personally don’t) but who cares. You do you.

I have a registry. I’m not letting people know unless they ask. I tell ppl I have it to just buy stuff myself and get the registry discount (which is true) but if someone asks and happens to do a nice thing I’m not going to be upset 😂

I don’t think a sprinkle is tacky - especially for a deferent gender (clothes, etc.). Every baby and mom deserve to be celebrated. 😘

I’m doing a sprinkle for this baby boy and I have a registry. I have absolutely nothing for a boy all my daughters clothing is very girly. This baby boy is my second rainbow baby after another long journey and I think he deserves to be celebrate. Now it’s going to be a lot lesser scale than my shower but nonetheless still a celebration. And people love to buy baby items. I don’t see what the harm is.

My family is throwing me a sprinkle in august so I updated my last registry mainly as a reminder for myself and to get discounts. We didn’t find out gender last time or this time so I don’t expect many clothes yet either even though I got rid of most of the clothes he’s outgrown. I’d be happy with just a ton of diapers and wipes lol.

I’m on #4 and have had a baby shower for each one. My mom always throws them because she believes each baby should be celebrated. I create a registry for me for the completion discount and free gifts (like the Amazon box). But, if people ask if I have one, I always tell them yes. I’ve actually had people be grateful for the registry because they weren’t sure what we needed (we don’t do the “big stuff” even if it’s worn out with previous kids….we replace those. We just do the swaddle blankets that we like, clothes, the diapers we prefer, etc.)

I personally do not think it’s tacky. Everyone should celebrate their babies they way this wish to. I’m sort of in the same boat- we had our daughter two years ago and I’m 23 weeks with our rainbow baby boy. I did make him a small registry of the boy things I’d like for those friends and family who wish to gift us something. At the end I’ll use the discounts but I’m not currently planning an actual shower/ sprinkle.
