Is this normal PP period?

So I'm almost 11 weeks pp and just got my period yesterday. Ever since I started it, I've been needing to change my Super tampons every 45 minutes and it's still leaking and soaking my panty liner (been changing it this often since yesterday). Last night I woke up laying in a puddle of blood even though I had a Super tampon in and a overnight pad on. Is this normal???? I'm a bit freaked out since after my first child my first period was not this bad. May I add that I also got my tubes tied so not sure if that matters. What would you do and do you think it's normal???
