When was your first appointment?

I just found out that I am pregnant and I am 7 weeks and 2 days. My doctor is not letting me come in until 9 weeks. I had some spotting and wanted the doctor to send in some blood work just to check everything out and they refused. I am getting incredibly frustrated that they won’t even allow me to take a blood test to confirm the pregnancy with them. Is this normal? Do women usually not get seen until 9 weeks? I have issues with low progesterone so I am super worried but they won’t budge or even address the progesterone issue. I know there’s not much they can do if I were to have a miscarriage but couldn’t they at least check my progesterone and what not?

I would find a new practice right away. I requested a blood test for HCG and progesterone from my midwife who ordered it into my local hospital. My first appointment was at 8-9 weeks, but they did two blood tests prior and prescribed me progesterone supplements due to my lower levels. 
It’s important to feel heard by your practitioner and comfortable with them. If you’re not, then find a new one.

12 weeks for me but my OB was very adamant about telling me to come in before with ANY concerns or problems

It is normal to not be seen until 8-10weeks without bleeding. 
Any time I’ve had bleeding that had me come in for HCG and even early ultrasounds.

Maybe try a new doctor? If they're not taking your concerns seriously, I'd consider a second opinion. Even maybe a trip to ER to check your levels

Not until 8 weeks, but that was only because she didn’t have any openings the following week for a 9 week appt, so she had me come in a little earlier than usual.

I had my first one at 9 weeks. It's a normal timeframe for one. If you're concerned though, call around and see if you can get in any earlier. There's places that can do a blood test to at least confirm the pregnancy.

I booked myself as soon as I had the positive test. So 3weeks +5days. Just so I could get the blood test to conform.

My first apt was around 10 weeks. It’s also pretty common to spit during early pregnancy so unless there was a major concern it sounds about right for your time frame.
