Glob of stringy mucus ?

My 6 week has been pooping more then normal he's breast-fed he has been colicky and very gassy he's way more calm today after all the poopy diapers he has done the only concern is it's just a glob of mucus is this normal ?? I'm thinking he's finally letting it all out .. I have been giving him mylicon I'm thinking that's helping let it all out.. With that being said he's very calm and eating normal nothing that has me worried ! Just wanted to get other mamas opinions and if they have gone through anything similar to this with their babies ?? He's had like 5 of these diapers today..
