Membrane Sweep Fail?

Question

I am exactly 40 weeks today and my midwife tried to do a membrane sweep but couldn’t reach it. It was SO uncomfortable. Now I’m experiencing light spotting and she has me scheduled for an induction at the end of the week. I didn’t imagine the end of my pregnancy being this complicated but I really want this baby out now. All of these terms are new to me since I am a FTM. Has anyone else experienced the same thing?

If you want a natural birth don't do the induction until 42 weeks. Inducing labor can lead to needing pain medication which in turn leads to failure to progress also  babies heart rate falling both of which leads to cesarean. Most women go into labor by 10 days past their estimated due date.
