Masking a 3 year old

I am on the fence about this and I know I will get a million opinions, but I just want an outside perspective. My son is 3, so he is unvaccinated. Everyone else in his close circle are vaccinated. As of tomorrow, both his preschool and the church we go to are mask-optional. I will still send him to school, as they have been very good about following guidelines and notifying parents of any potential exposures (only 2 in the school since last summer, and one was his class). What would you do about church? He has been begging me to go back to church, and I really want to take him. I want to have good faith in people and hope the mask if they are unvaccinated, but there is no way to guarantee that. He has never had covid despite me working in one of the busiest ERs in the nation. What would you do? Take him and wear a mask? Let him go to kids church without a mask? Not take him at all? I am on the fence on what the “right” answer is here 😞
