Does your mom or mil always want to dress baby?

My mother has always felt like she should dress everyone. She did it with me and she still does it with my sister (18).

Well I have a 2 month old and I’m starting to feel a bit annoyed because she wants to dress my son all the time. She even bought outfits for taking him home from hospital. Although I didn’t use them (they were too big anyways) I just feel like she should have talked with me since it’s a special outfit. Anyways, the same just keeps happening. She told me my baby was gonna wear this outfit for Father’s Day and now she bought an outfit for 4th of July and I’m just annoyed that she doesn’t even bother to ask me. I’ve also bought a lot of cute outfits (I didn’t have a shower) and I want to use them before he outgrows them. Btw this is her 2nd grandson from me so it’s not like she didn’t get to dress a baby boy before lol

I know I can tell her no or compromise which I do but I was just wondering if anyone else is/has experienced this?
