If you are a stay at home parent does your spouse help with housework ?

I’m a SAHM and my husband doesn’t help me around the house with anything, not even taking the trash out unless I bitch and nag him. Is this the norm for others? 😭

Yes he helps. It is both of our home. We both make messes, we both help clean

He absolutely helps. I’m a SAHM, but I also work from home, and our baby is super clingy-so I seldom have a lot of free time or hands to clean. Lol

Two questions one answer. Sorry but this is impossible to answer. So I answer your question here. My husband used to help, but when he started working a lot he stopped helping, which was ok for me since I was a SAHM. Then when we moved he worked less and still didn't help much apart from cooking he loves that so he did, still does, that quite often, for which I'm glad because I don't like doing it. But nothing much else then that. At some point I had enough with doing everything by myself and just stopped doing things, like I wouldn't wash clothes only the kids and my own. And not tidy up, he would get annoying by the mess and do it himself. And if he complained that he had no clothes I told him they are in the basket he just needs to wash them. Now that the kids are older and things need to be done he just tells the kids to do it, but he still washes his own clothes. And I have a rule in my house, we all live here we all mess up, we all help cleaning up. Simple.

My husband helps with everything, because our marriage is a partnership. I do the majority, but if I fall behind for whatever reason, he picks up the slack without being asked.

U need to speak up!  Alot of men think ok shes home shes good shell do the housework. So u have to make sure u say ok i need help with this stuff.  If ur not happy with something whocares if everyone else lives that way! You still dont have to!

Housework if I ask him to, but normally it’s just me. He does a lot more outside and/or with the vehicles/anything that needs fixing around the house. 
Yesterday, he came home from work and gave the dog a bath because she got into something and she stunk so bad. I’m 32 weeks pregnant with 2 under 2 and I just couldn’t give the dog a bath. I’d break my back and I wouldn’t be able to control a 90 lb dog for a bath. 
He helps with the kids, but I mostly take care of inside housework and he does a lot outside or anything extra I can’t do/need help with, if that makes sense.
