To breastfeed or not?

I had a lot of trouble breastfeeding with my first but that was 7 years ago. 
I’m a little nervous to try this time too cause I wasn’t able to supply enough. 
Pros and cons to both?

I absolutely HATED it with my first. I tried everything, couldn’t get my milk to come in enough, developed terrible PPD over, etc. I thought it was because we were busy and unable to establish a good routine when we came home. I thought I just couldn’t do it. When my second was born, she had low sugar and they had me breastfeed her. 16 hours after she was born she had to be admitted to the NICU. When I went to see her, they told me she was going to be a boob baby because she was refusing bottles. She had some formula in the NICU and when we first came home because her sugar needed more than I was giving but she’s pretty much been EBF and is 7 months old and hasn’t had formula in over 6 months. It was just kind of easy this time and I was even hospitalized for a week with HELLP and she had a NICU stay so all I could do was pump a couple of those days. I don’t plan to quit until we hit a year and so far so good. I would give it a try. I never would have thought this was going to work after the first baby.

Doesn’t hurt to try. 🤷🏼‍♀️ Definitely find a support group near you. I found one run by a local lactation consultant and it was the #1 key to my success even with a reflux baby and oversupply issues.

Did you find out why you wasn't producing enough, or was it due to poor latching and little help/support?.

Work with an IBCLC if you really want to. There’s a lot of misinformation out there and they’re the best trained to give you accurate information
