Period ruined hotel date :(

This guy and I have been talking for a couple weeks and met up and have slept with each other twice. Tomorrow night we booked a hotel to spend the night and have a fun romantic night together, however of course Mother Nature has come along tonight to ruin it. I still want to stay with him tomorrow but in don’t know how he feels about it. Does anyone know if there are any ways to not let the dreaded period ruin the fun together? My plan was to bring a dark blanket and make sure all the lights are off and to tell him not to touch the condom or anything and let me deal with that.

Side note- is shower sex good for periods? I don’t seem to bleed in the shower so I was wondering if anyone knows if it will happen?
