Skipping period on BC pills

So Ive been on the on Tri-Sprintec birth control pill for about 4 months now. Last week was my first week skipping my period, and this week I got my period while still on the active pills. I am due to have my period in 2 weeks, will it come again then? Also, this period is about 3 days longer than it usually is. Is this normal?
