Jaxon Kade is here!
Birth story
I had a scheduled induction for 9 PM on 12/4. They started me on cervidil and after 12 hours of being inserted I still had not yet dilated. 12/5 They put me on pitocin shortly after cervidil failed for 7 hours and I still did not dilate, but did have a few contractions. 12/6 Later I was given 4 doses of cytotec and that lasted for a period of 16 hours total and I had excruciating contractions, but only dilated half a centimeter. By then I did not want to try pitocin again so I was given the option to have a c-section. The doctor and nurses began to prep immediately and at 5:37 PM Jaxon Kade Payne was born weighing 8 lbs even. His umbilical cord was wrapped around his neck after they pulled him out and he was not breathing or responsive and later my doctor informed us that if I had a vaginal birth, then we would have been planning for a funeral. Very rude of him to tell us that way, but we are blessed that our son pulled through and is alive and well and I believe that everything such as my failed inductions happened for a reason! We are so in love with our son! He means the world to us!
